The Last Three Months of My Entrepreneur Journey

I just realized today that I have not posted a blog in quite awhile. I have been very busy.

My Local Book Festival on 4 October 2025 went pretty well. Lots of networking and I sold two books. Any exposure is great.

I have been doing a lot of leg work on getting my book more exposure. I have been able to get a free book sighing set up with the Barnes and Noble in Park City on Saturday, 15th of November.  I am very excited about this.

I finished my end of helping a friend who wanted me to help gather her family stories the last week of October.

I also finished an on going verification project for another client - 18 months later. Now, we can focus on the research part of this project.

I found out that Wasatch County may be hiring a County Historian. I went in person and sent an email of my interest. Well, I was advised to look for the job posting in January 2026. They were not ready for my intensity I think.  I am okay with that, at least they know my name.

I have also received my BS in Professional Studies Degree Diploma in the mail during last week as well. I received my last certificate of Entrepreneurship a couple of weeks prier.  I will get all of my certificates and BS Degree framed when I can. This means I have upped my hourly rate from $20 an hour to $25 an hour starting today.

I will be working on my accreditation for Professional Genealogist through ICAPGen next year beginning in January. I will be taking the summer off to join and write my level one accreditation 4 generational report with the ICAPGen Study Group. Almost, like a Dissertation, I am still very busy.

I am also in the middle of writing my 2nd book. Transcribing that microfilm of the Utah Territorial Prison Roster. A lot of the people on it have been forgotten and lost in time. I feel deep down that their names need to be brought back out of obscurity and back in to the light.

I applied to the "League of Utah Writers" today to get an award for my book in the Utah Humanities.  I hope I get some sort of an award, that would be amazing.

I think that is everything for now.
