Week 13 - A Journey of Gratitude
I think every once in a while, I need to be reminded to be grateful for what I have in life. I need to be reminded of how blessed I am. That I still have a roof over my head. That I have food on the table. I have a running car. I have a dog. I have friends and co-workers who understand me. That I have a good job with good healthcare benefits. That I can read and write. That I am a published author. That I have goals and ambitions, but I do not use people to get where I want to be in life.
That the Jesus Christ is my savior and friend.
That my mom is still around, and I can still ask her for advice.
That all of my siblings are still alive, and I have a pretty good relationship with 2 out of the three of them which was hard own.
That I have an editor that has stuck my side for almost 3 years and counting.
That my book has sold about 240 copies and counting. The eBook version is to be released on Amazon on the 15th of April. That my book is touching lives like it was intended too. That more people are getting interested in family history because of it.
That I can walk, and my health is in a good place in my life for once.
That I am actually living for myself for once and not on everyone else’s beck and call anymore.
That my condo is my sanctuary and my refuge from the storms in life.
For the beautiful mountains I grew up in and are ingrained into my very soul.
For being my father’s daughter, both my mortal father and my heavenly father. They have both taught me so much in my life and instilled in me the importance of lifelong learning and connecting with other people.
