Book Festivals

I am looking into Local Author Book Festivals to see if I can get into them as a vender to sell my book. Or at least get it out there more.

I have found and submitted an application to the Wasatch Back Book Festival: Local Author Portion.

This will be held at the Park City Public Library, 1255 Park Ave, Park City Utah 84060, October 3-5, 2025.

I need to take a book to them ASAP (By Aug 1, I will probably get this done this week or next week) to donate and for them to review for my application.

I also found out that there is a huge Book Festival in Salt Lake City. I will have to contact the Utah Humanities Office in SLC to get more information.

I think this also happens in the fall.

I hope that the Wasatch Back and the Salk Lake City book festivals are not on the same weekend. If that happens I will have to choose on or the other.

I called the Utah Humanities Office and they said the state wide book festival was in October and that Local events should be happening.

I sold a book last Sunday the 1st of June.

I was able to get an application and took a book to the Park City Library for them to get it approved for their Local book festival in October.

The website says I will hear back from them after the 1st of August.

I had one of my clients also bring me some older documents to transcribe from cursive to print for them this week.

My Life as a Family History Researcher/Historian- Week 15

This week has been wild.  1. My editor and I got the eBook version of Unraveling the Family Secret uploaded, uploaded to Amazon.com. I received an email back from Amazon.com yesterday. The email stated that they needed more information to make sure I was the only one with the rights to my book and that no other publisher had rights to it. Also, they only gave me 5 days to gather my documentation. My editor suggested that I scan in a copy of my Copyright Registration Letter and copies of my Business License since I self-published through my family history research business, Coming Full Circle as the official publisher. I got it all sent off today with an email reply. I have received a reply email back. They have received the documents and further review is needed. I will receive a reply from them in 5 business days. Hopefully, it will be published by the end of the month. 2.
